..............Testimonials and GSD comments!
Hi Sabrina, was visiting your website and thought I would share a brief update on Hanna (Tiki). She has become and awesome dog, loves to swim, great disposition with other dogs and generally friendly with people while doing her natural job of being weary of unfamiliar faces and keeping an eye on her territory. As soon as we invite someone in and she knows all is well, she has great manners. Since we live right on the water she has become a great and avid swimmer and will chase a throw toy endlessly. She has a lot of energy and all in all a wonderful addition to the family. Hannah just turned 1 in July!

Hey Sabrina,
We just wanted to drop you a line to tell you how well "Talko" (renamed Junior) is doing. He has developed into a fantastic German Shepherd. He is a devoted family pet and a great addition to our family. I bring him everywhere with me and get compliments constantly.Although I have not done any formal protection training with him, I routinely bring him on details with me. The celebrities and families I have worked with absolutely love him. Today is his 1st Birthday and we are having a big party for him. Thanks again for a great dog.
Take care, Grant Evans and family
Hi Sabrina,
I purchased one of your female GSD from your P litter born on 12/20/08. As of now she is a registered certified Medical Service Dog and is training for her SCH1. She has a great temperament as outlined by Dr. Amy Marder (C.E.O. Animal Behavior Institute). She is a wonderful dog that is good looking, has a lot of trainability, is affectionate, loves children and will protect you with all she has if needed.
Thank you for providing me with a great dog to continue my late fathers dream to bring more of the show look back into working line GSD’s .

Hello
We are thoroughly enjoying Urma. We have renamed her Bridget. Bridget is very affectionate and easy to teach. Also, she is very healthy. She and Lily (Lanni) and our older dog really like each other. They play and sleep together - just like sisters! I have attached pictures of Bridget.

Dear Sabrina
I wanted to drop you a quick line and let you know that Vuk aka VAGO,(we stayed with the “V” litter theme) is doing awesome. I have attached some pics so you can see for yourself.
He comes to work with me most days. I have a crate in my office, so he goes in there when I am out. But most of the time, he hangs out with me while I work at my desk. I am looking at him as I type this.
He is sound asleep, about five feet away from me. My whole office loves him.
We have been doing puppy obedience with him for about a month now. We have been working with Dee Ganley, a local trainer that I have worked with before and who is well respected. Sit and Down are no brainers for him. “Mat” gets him to his little sleeping mat and down very reliably. He is much calmer than we originally expected. People warned us about the super high drive of the German lines. I don’t see anything negative. Just a bright, inquisitive puppy.

Hi Sabrina
It was good to talk to you today and I have attached a couple of pictures to this email. We want to thank you again for the awesome dog that Caesar (aka Trouble) is…he is a very well behaved and loyal friend so us all and we enjoy his company. He loves to go on long walks in the woods and adores hanging out and playing with the kids in the snow…I have to agree with the other statement I read on your website in the testimonials section that we can also go shopping and put groceries in the car right next to him and he will not go through them at all…even if we go into another store and leave him alone. We just finished a basic obedience call with him and he was a real star…he came in first place in the Agility course that was setup on the last day of class to have some fun…he didn’t have a problem with going through tunnels or anything…he does love his treats though and is very food driven. I am always getting comments on how handsome he is everywhere we go!!

Visa (Daisy) is settling right into life at our home- and Kolt loves her! She’s very interested in Kolt and he’s spending all his time walking around with his little “mini me” by his side- he’s just fascinated by her. And he slept right outside her crate all night.
She’s so cute she’s like a little teddy bear! We just love her!!! I’m so glad we made the decision to get a second one! Here are a couple of her first pictures at our house. ….Somebody else thinks she just the best!!
Kind regards, Maureen
Just wanted to let you know what an all around wonderful dog Grace is! We feel so fortunate to have come across your website and dogs! We were feeling a little nervous at first but she has quickly made her way into our hearts and home. Her temperamnet is amazing and she is such a smart, sweet dog! We are stopped routinely on walks by people who want to know where we got such a beautiful German Shehpherd. Grace loves to meet other dogs and people and is a quick learner. Thank you for what you do that made it possible for us to have her in our family! We are blessed to have her and none of us will be the same after getting to know Gracie!
Thanks again,
The Fulton family
Hi Sabrina, so far, Hannah (Tiki) is doing great! She is really getting comfortable here and is good friends with Toby. Attached is a picture of them working on down-stay on one of their walks. They get plenty of play time in the yard as well! She has an excellent temperament and a GREAT appetite. Oh yeah, she loves to play with and tip her water bowl over we've learned!
Still working on house training and as long as we keep a close eye on her she is fine, it will be great when she figures out to go to the door..
She is picking up on basic commands quickly like sitting in general as well as sitting and waiting for her dinner or to come into the house, down, stay and heel. She is going to be and already is a great dog!
Roland and I just wanted to say hi and see how your doing. Hope your family is well. We recommended your site to a few people they love your dogs and your site.
Our vet asked us for your information and I gave him your web site. He adores Ivy he can't believe how calm and wonderful she is. She is the best thing that has ever happened to Roland and I we just love her to death. The Tyngsboro police department stop us all the time just to look at her and comment on what a beautiful dog she is. Roland and I can't go anywhere without people stopping us and commenting on how wonderful and beautiful Ivy is. she is definitely our pride and joy. There hasn't been one second that we've regretted getting Ivy she's simply the best.
Harley and Ivy get along great they just love each other. They love to run and play together. Roland and I will be in touch in about 6 to 8 months to get another dog. This time a male if possible. We would like Ivy to be a little older before we introduce another dog. I think it would be good for her.
My daughter's boyfriend is thinking of getting a Sheppard from you. I know he has been e-mailing back and forth with you. His name is Rich he is a wonderful Pearson. He just loves Ivy he says she's the best dog he's ever met. I tend to agree.
I enclosed some pictures of Ivy in the yard. The back yard is her favorite place.
Hope you and your family have wonderful and safe Holidays.
All our best,
Diane & Roland
About nine months ago, our family decided to look into purchasing a German Shepherd puppy. I grew up with Shepherds and I knew this was the breed for us. Loyal and intelligent, with handsome looks, the GSD is the perfect dog. This being said, Sabrina Hatfield and Vom Haus Hutfeld Breeders in Wilton, NH is the perfect breeder!
My wife and I researched GSD breeders nationwide before deciding upon Sabrina. Her passion and love of this wonderful breed is readily apparent at first glance at her website. This was confirmed after speaking with her on the phone. Her wealth of knowledge on these dogs and her dedication to breeding its finest specimens was the deciding factor for us. We could not have picked a better breeder!
Sabrina, from the start, has shared her vast knowledge of this breed and her expertise is visible in every puppy bred from her amazing stock of world class show dogs. She was always there for us to answer yet another question about upcoming litters and the perfect match we were seeking as the new addition to our family. Sabrina is a class act and we have been rewarded with the most amazing dog we have ever owned.
Tessa, our 5 month old puppy, was picked up at Sabrina’s facility at 8 weeks of age. The facility was first class with acres of beautiful property and a well thought out infrastructure for breeding these dogs. The whelping rooms, pens, and kennels were all spotlessly clean and well appointed. Sabrina and Roger were gracious hosts and helped us pick out our new puppy from two litters. We decided upon a little girl named Tessa.
Tessa, now approaching 45 lbs., is an incredibly intelligent animal with a heart of gold. She is sweet, attentive, bright, and built like a tiger cub. Her black and deep red coat could not be more plush! We cannot walk five feet downtown Portsmouth without being stopped and complimented on the beauty of our puppy. Tessa’s potential is off the charts and she excels in all she does. She is absolutely gorgeous and is proving to be the perfect pet.
So, if you are in the market for a new German Shepherd puppy and are looking for a breeder, look no further! Sabrina Hatfield and Vom Haus Hutfeld Breeders is the only place to go! All in all, an incredible experience! Sabrina was there for us before, during, and after our purchase and is a great support system for our growing pup. You will not find a better puppy than at Vom Haus Hutfeld!

Dear Sabrina ,
Happy New Year.
As we could see on your website you have been very busy the last few month. I hope you still had a nice Christmas with your family. We just wanted to let you know that Niko is doing wonderful. He has such good personality. He loves going for walks or going to Woodsom Farm (Open Space) to play with a Tennis ball. He met a lot of dogs in the Fall. During the last few weeks he has discovered snow and he absolutely loves it. He will jump on top of the snow mountain, which are on the side of the drive way and will just sit on top of them, like he is the King. Everybody will stop and tell us how beautiful he is and well behaved.
Just some little stories about him. I can take him in the car and go grocery shopping and have the bags in the car with him. If I need to go in another store, Niko will not go through the bags, even if their is meat or cold cuts in them.He absolutely loves sticks and will pick them up on our walk and than carry them for a while. When we had our Christmas tree and I was watering the tree he laid right by the tree and started chewing on a branch. I just said Niko "No" and he never did it again. He will let People know that he is in the house and will bark but is very good when we have Company. He has a friend next door, Gracie, a Golden. They play great together. He also must take after his father, because he loves Toys.We are very happy to have such a great companion. Niko weighs about 70 pounds.
Per our agreement I am informing you that we are ready to have Niko neutered. You had asked us to let you know in case you would like to visit Niko and see if you were interested in breeding him. Please let us know at your earliest convenience

Dick and I wanted to thank you and Roger again for Pixel. Having a healthy puppy is a big change! He is very active and has a great personality. He's definitely keeping all of us on our toes.I am attaching a couple of pictures of him from last weekend. He has grown a bunch so these pictures look outdated already.
Talk to you soon. Take care,
Tammy

Hi Sabrina !
Hope all is well with you and your family. Just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know how great Pixel is doing. He's an absolute love and we have having a fantastic time with him. He's growing like a weed and very healthy. Thank you for picking such a great dog for us. I have attached a picture of Pixel and the girls during a sightseeing trip we took. He's basic dog obedience training is going well and is VERY bright. (I just have be sure he doesn't get smarter than me). We would love to bring Pixel to see you sometime over the summer. I think you will absolutely love him. He's the best.
Take care, Tammy
Hello Sabrina :
I just wanted to drop you guys a note to let you know what an awesome dog Lexi has become! She is leaving behind the adolescent behavior and is out of her crate for longer periods of time. She is so obedient, eight months old and she heels (for me) off leash!!! (but I have a piece of cheese near by). We are going for a third round of obedience starting in the next few weeks. She's so athletic that we were thinking of agility training when she finishes with obedience training. Our goal is to get her a canine good citizen certificate. She's well on her way as we took her to a town parade recently with about 3 thousand people, kids, other dogs and lots of noise there and all she did was look at me. She interacts with my girls famously and she is very friendly towards everyone. Here's some pictures from the past few days, enjoy.
John
P.S. When we had her spayed a few months back, we also had her hips x-rayed. To quote the Vet "she has about a close to perfect hip coverage as I've ever seen"! Thanks again
Sabrina,
The seminar was so much fun. You did a wonderful job organizing it. What a treat to see all these beautiful GSD's. Thank you for it. During our stay in the North East we went to Cape Cod. I am including a few pix. In Provincetown, Sheba became the talk of the town. Just about everybody had tosay hello, pet her and commented on her good behaviour. We are truly enjoying her, she is such a sweetheart! We have now returned to Arizona and I have enrolled her at our local PetSmart for puppy classes. The trainer is excellent. She has made doggy friends and is just thriving. Have a great summer and congratulations on your recent success!

Hi Sabrina -
I just wanted to let you know that Odella is doing wonderfully and the whole family adores her. As expected, my Jack Russell is very excited to have a young companion who is willing to play with her, so they have become fast friends. Odella (nickname Ellie) has already learned to use her body weight to throw "body blocks" against Erin. It is hysterical to watch them. Surprisingly, she has decided to sleep at night with my OLD rescued Bijon (they both have crates but I leave them open all night) who barely acknowledges her presence. Ellie is a perfect puppy - just what I was hoping for!!

________________
another update to tell you how wonderful Odella is, she really is a perfect puppy. Her temperament (which is most important to me) is exactly what it should be. My whole family loves her, and I have gotten many compliments from both friends and strangers about what a nice dog she is. She is very happy here - still best friends with my Jack Russell, and friendly with the rest of my pack too. Every day we go for a 2 mile walk along the Connecticut River - my friend owns a farm so we have many many fields to tramp through. Odella runs for almost an hour and then collapses for a long sleep when we get home. She has learned that getting in the truck means going to the farm, so she loves car rides. I have one question for you - what age do you recommend starting formal training? (She has already learned sit and come). Thank you again for raising such wonderful dogs.
It was so nice to meet you on Thursday. It was very apparent how meticulous you are about your breeding and your care of your dogs. It was inspiring to me. The pup is doing great. Tell your son we named him Rocco. It just fit. Rocco gets along great with the pup and will probably be the boss when he gets a little bigger. He is doing great. I think he really likes it here.
Thanks, Amy
I though you might like to see this picture of Rocco. He's doing great.

Sally renamed Ginger made it home to here in Ct with no problems. She is being a puppy and doing very well with Tania. Tania is also happy to have a playmate and Ginger will keep her in good shape. My wife and 2 other children love her to death so I got very lucky this time. It may cost me somejewelery in the future though. I will send pictures of both dogs together, thanks again for sharing them with me. You have a beautiful spread up there, good luck to Roger and you. Ciao, Ciao.

Here's our most recent picture of Abby. She is gorgeous!!! Hope all is well with you and yours... Happy Spring.

Hope all is is well with you and yours for the start of 2009.I cant thank you enough for the wonderful addition to our family you have provided us with. Keira, we call her Abby has been nothing short of amazing. We love her so much it would be hard to imagine not having her around.Susan and I have been thinking of getting another pup from you, this time a male and saw that some recent litters have some available. Are they all still available? Hope to hear from you and tell Roger I said hello.
Regards; Doug Tordik
I have attached a picture of Lily (she was Lanni). I wanted you to know how much we love Lily. Lily loves to play and run- she is holding her favorite toy. She is a calm and confident puppy. Lily is easy to teach, because she is so smart. Housebreaking and showing her the basicrules of the house( no chewing on furniture or us, play with toys, take things gently, no jumping on people, etc) has been easy. She loves our older shepherd, Rose. Lily watches Rose closley and learns from her too. Rose is like the mother dog. Lily also loves people and people respond so positively to her personality. I had her spayed in July and the vet did an x-ray. He told me her hips looked good. I look forward to many wonderful years with a loyal friend.
Sabrina
Mr winston is not one to let me relax - the first thing is the paw on the leg routine - next is in my face when I don't get his frisbee and play - he is such a joy and a well cared for gsd -

Hello Sabrina!
I just wanted to take this time to Thank You, and Roger, for being so kind to me. I knew from the beginning that you were never going to be just “The breeder I got my dog from”. I knew you accepted me as part of your family the day I got to take Larocque home. And most importantly, you have been a great friend. You have never failed to be there for me whenever I have questions, however silly they may be. And you looked past my age when we met, and treated me like an adult. And now, almost 20 months later, You didn’t hesitate when I approached you about a second puppyJ You’re kennels are spotless, and you treat all of your dogs like they are royalty. It is quite clear to anyone that visits your home, just how dedicated you are to your dogs. Larocque has been, by far, the smartest dog I’ve ever been blessed to own and care for. He is so willing to please, he loves to work. He has a fantastic temperament, I can’t take him anywhere without people asking where I got him. He has the goofiest personality, and whenever I’m sad he never fails to brighten my day. He's a huge part of my life and I would never imagine it without him. :)
Can’t wait for the next training day!
Love, Jen and Larocque
Just want to let you know everything is going great! We are getting to know her and she is getting to know us! We all are loving Grace and enjoying her so much! Haven't been this busy since my last toddler but at least there is five of us to keep up with her! She has met lots of people and is so curious and gentle. Thanks again and we will be in touch!
The Fulton family!
How are you? Have you moved down to Mass yet? I just wanted to say hello and share some recent pictures of "Kolt". He's right at home and enjoys going for walks off leash in the woods by our house. He's getting bigger and has been going to classes for obedience and doing very well with it. His favorite thing is his tennis ball and he loves to drop it in front of us so that we'll toss it for him. He's been great at making new friends- and the Shepherd next door is his favorite pal- they get to run around a lot. He already guards the house which is surprising to me since it took Rueger almost 2 years to develop that protective bark. He's been great with kids, and we really enjoy him.
My plans are to continue working with him through the winter and then check back with you about a puppy in the spring or late winter. If you have a mailing list for updates please add me to that. We'll be looking for a female pup.
I did have a question for you- probably stupid- but how do you get the dogs to stand in that classic pose? I know it has a name - but I don't know what it is. He does it now and then but never when I have the camera ready. Haha
Hope all is well with you and your family!
Kind regards,
Maureen
